You’d think the cost of living crisis would mean fewer men can afford to pay for sex, but according to escort Katija Cortez – it is the opposite.

“When you see a sex worker, you can see her as often or as little as suits your schedule. I doubt that many girls that these men could date traditionally would be happy seeing their man for only one scheduled hour a week.”Ms Cortez explained that for some men, seeing an escort on a casual basis can mean they have their needs met while being able to work longer hours, therefore increasing their incomes.

“Almost every single one of my clients are doing this cost-benefit analysis and tell me that seeing me is exponentially more beneficial to them, their time and money, than meeting a girl at a club,” she said. The 28-year-old said men are “analytical” and she’s not surprised they’ve crunched the numbers and worked out that dating can be more expensive.“Men don’t think how women think.

“When it comes to the current landscape of dating and current cost of living, some men don’t want to waste time they don’t have trying to date. Many of my clients are CEOs, entrepreneurs, lawyers, doctors, financiers, and a common reason they see me is that they have less and less time to date,” she said.
