A man and a woman have been injured after a car crashed into a shopping centre, significantly damaging the building, in Melbourne's south-east.

CCTV shows the gold car driving into a park on Athol Road in Springvale South at 9.30am before it proceeded to go through a bollard and into the shopping centre for close to 100 metres.

The car stopped at a coffee kiosk, where Ngoc Tran was working behind the counter and people were lined up to get their morning coffees.A man and a woman have been injured after a car crashed into a shopping centre, significantly damaging the building, in Melbourne's south-east. "It was very quick, I didn't imagine the car coming in so quickly," he said.A customer waiting for her order was helped away with an injured hand as the 79-year-old driver was assisted out of the car.
