Ayrshire Live can reveal that William Grant & Sons Distillers Ltd is seeking permission to build the storage facility at its sprawling plant at the Grangestone Industrial Estate.

This facility will enable the housing of additional casks, supporting a number of brands produced by William Grant & Sons from their distillery in Girvan.

According to papers the application site extends to over 1.9 ha and access to proposed warehouse would be taken from the existing internal road network.
