In another statement on Facebook, Global Ikhwan Utara, who produced the bread admitted that its Halal certification expired on 31st May 2017, and here’s why the company did not renew the Halal certification. “We have reached out to the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living and the State Islamic Religious Departments to ensure immediate enforcement action is taken,” JAKIM said.How did the halal logo come into question?
