President Cyril Ramaphosa says through continued collaboration between government and business, the country can achieve an economic growth target of three percent by next year as envisaged by business.
Ramaphosa on behalf of government launched the second phase of the business and government partnership to address key challenges that hinder the country’s growth prospects. Addressing CEOs of major companies in various sectors and ministers in Sandton, Ramaphosa invited more businesses to pledge their support for partnership with government.
“And one of the things I’ve been saying to my colleagues is that we must turn our commitments into reality, we must also now increase our ambition, we must become much more ambitious. Yes, we want to hit that 3% or 3.5% growth, but I want us to raise our gaze to aim for much higher capabilities and our ambition must be at a much higher level,” adds Ramaphosa.
