The owner of a wedding venue that was burnt during a fire in Brisbane claims the site has been targeted by looters after the destructive blaze.

Maree Henry, owner of event space The Lussh, was celebrating four years of running the business from its Woolloongabba location when the fire broke out.

Squatters allegedly moved in, which Henry claims prompted serious concerns for the safety of her staff.Flames jumped the boundary destroying the warehouse turned wedding venue. "What I don't understand is how it was allowed to happen. You felt like you were in the back streets of San Francisco," Henry said.
