Today on Market Domination Overtime, hosts Julie Hyman and Josh Lipton dive into a diverse array of market developments, including: - Wall Street's...

And there's the closing bell on Wall Street Now it's mark domination.Let's take a look at where the majors ended the day we got the Dow closing near the highest the session here of about 126 only about a third of 1%.The and P 500 up close to a percent here. We, in terms of where the focus was today, seemed to pivot away from the rates market and the Fed debate.

And let's check out the software side because that has lagged sometimes when chip stocks are surging.Uh, pan W, uh, Palo Alto up almost five or up over five and docusign up almost seven.Markets climbing higher into the closing bell with the S and P back near all time highs here. In other words, that the number we saw last week that surprised everybody is probably not an outlier.I don't wanna overplay my hand here, but a real chance is that in three or six months people are saying that the Fed cut too quickly and that the economy is too strong and maybe they have to reverse course. You know, front centre, it is gonna be a I.Which when you talk to your clients, you say talking about a I you say good economic story, Disappointing investment story.

Um, I wanna zoom out a little bit here because, um, we're coming up on two years of this bull market and we're trying to figure out as we always do, whether it's gonna keep going. And if so, what is gonna lead the next leg of it higher or if it's not what's gonna take it down? That the market, the way people like to talk about is probably the fulcrum of that seesaw. And on the other side of the seesaw, we have almost everything else in the global equity market.

You know, eventually, when people come back to the fundamentals, maybe that's when you get a rally off earnings. It's maybe people aren't tuned into what's actually happening with earnings here.I didn't even mention Middle East tensions, right, But we've been talking about that every day as well. And then this one today which which, which is, I think, sort of setting her up for a big part of this being a big part of her message in the home stretch.

So it's it's an uphill climb, no matter what if Harris wins, no matter what she's facing in Congress. But Elf Beauty, in collaboration with North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, is laying out a brighter DE I outcome in a new report, the company emphasising the pivotal role that board diversity plays in corporate success and here to discuss this elf beauty chairman and CEO Tang Amin Tang.Um, so this report kind of coming out with some new research, also putting together research already out there about sort of return on equity linked to companies.

But Terra, you know, what do you make of the sort of wider environment where we are seeing push back against these kinds of efforts that you're describing here? We've seen that in our ability to move fast, our ability to now deliver 22 consecutive quarters of net sales growth, averaging over 20% net sales growth. So I think our results speak for themselves, and what I really encourage other people to do is if if they believe in the power of diversity.Um, Tang, It's interesting too, because, um, you know, you talk about higher return on equity.

So I feel really great about our business and, uh, you'll learn more in in a in a few weeks looking forward to it.Wednesday, October 9 Starting off on the Fed minutes from the Feds, September FO MC meeting will be out at 2 p.m. Eastern, Giving us more insight and how the Fed came to its decision to cut rates by 50 basis points and stick with the Fed will be getting a big batch of Fed commentary from several Fed presidents, including Rafael Bostic, Susan Collins and Austin.
