The case against a 45-year-old man arrested in connection with the mass murder of 18 people in Ngobozana Village, in Lusikisiki in the Eastern Cape, has been postponed to the 15th of October for formal bail application.
The court was packed to capacity by bereaved family members and residents of Ngobozana Village. The 45-year-old accused cut a lonely figure in the dock while covering his face.Police say more arrests are imminent in connection with the mass murder of the 18 people. Eastern Cape police have also confirmed that one suspect in the murder of Warrant Officer Khangelani Nomatiti was gunned down in Ngqeleni, and a police firearm was recovered in his possession.
