About 12 000 registered Mozambican voters are expected to cast their votes in the Cape region, which consists of the Western, Eastern and Northern Cape.
They are casting their ballots at one of the nine polling stations in Cape Town, as Mozambique hosts elections today. Consul of the Republic of Mozambique in Cape Town, Ivete Muquingue Uqueio was the first person to cast her vote. “We know that we have this terrorism thing in the capital province. It’s one of the big issues. As you know that South Africa was helping Mozambique in solving that problem. SADC was helping Mozambique in solving that problem. But we have other problems. But I can say that one of the big issues at the moment is terrorism”, says Uqueio.
