An events company was fined $6,400 by the court on Oct 9 for permitting food stalls at Hari Raya Mega Sale 2023 to operate without first obtaining a licence.

Megaxpress International director Hamzah Bin Abdullah was also fined $6,400 for failing to prevent the offence from being committed.On the first day of the fair, officers from the Singapore Food Agency found 21 unlicensed food stalls and three unlicensed food trucks operating there and directed Megaxpress International to, posted on its Facebook page:"The organiser of Megaxpress did not do for us the licence which we can’t sell and have to clear everything.

Offenders are liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $2,000 and, in the case of a continuing offence, to a further fine not exceeding $100 for every day or part thereof during which the offence continues after conviction.
