The BBB said AI can create fake storm damage, survivors, and may even show political figures on the scene.

) - The Better Business Bureau wants to warn the public that some people are using artificial intelligence to create fake storm relief images on social media.

One of the most popular images circulating was of a little girl, holding a puppy, as she was rescued by boat. This image is fake. The group is already aware of scammers trying to take advantage after Hurricane Helene, with people claiming to be selling relief materials, shipped by drone, among other things.
