The over-use of Labour Market Impact Assessments and Canada's Temporary Foreign Worker program has been thrust into the spotlight in the last few weeks, with residents realizingand other roles exclusively to foreign workers though the federal government stipulates that LMIAs are only to be used when "there is a need for a foreign worker" because "no Canadians or permanent residents are available to do the job.
