A leading Welshpool company’s commitment to being a force for good in the lives of its employees, community and society was recognised at the Powys Business Awards.

Robin Hawkins and Rachel Jones from Morland receive the Business in the Community Award from Simon Knight, managing director of Radnor Hills, sponsor.

“At Morland, social responsibility is not simply a phrase; it is deeply embedded in our core values,” said Lisa Andrew, head of customer success and marketing. “By fostering volunteerism, charitable giving, employee wellbeing, community partnerships and innovative manufacturing practices, we strive to leave a positive, lasting impact on the world around us.”

Because employee wellbeing is paramount to the company’s success, Morland has a comprehensive health and wellbeing programme that caters to both physical and mental health needs. Morland champions sustainability by giving suitable scrap materials to schools and colleges, which are also supported with technical projects and work placements.
