Free State confident in retaining number one spot as matric examinations get underway.

Free State Education MEC Doctor Mamiki Maboya says she is confident that the province will maintain its number one spot in the national matric examination results.Maboya says the province is ready for exams after taking substantive measures to ensure that every matric learner is equipped to sit for them.

Western Cape Education Minister David Maynier says more than 1 800 invigilators will oversee the exams. “Our matriculants and their teachers have put so much work into preparing for these exams, so we appeal to everyone in the Western Cape to make our matriculants the VIPs of our province in these coming weeks.”
