Pretoria High Court has sentenced North West woman to 25-years imprisonment for Mmakau family murder

Twenty-two-year-old, Onthatile Sebati, who was 16 years old at the time of committing the crime, paid her friends Tumelo Mokone and Kagiso Mokone R 50 000 each to kill her parents, younger brother and her sister at the family’s home in December 2016.

Her sister was pregnant at the time. Her co-accused who are cousins have each been sentenced to four life sentences each for murder. The National Prosecuting Authority Gauteng Spokesperson Lumka Mahanjana says, “The Pretoria High Court has sentenced a teenager who organised a hit on her family to 25 years of direct imprisonment each for four counts of murder, 10 years for robbery with aggravating circumstances, five years for theft, five years for possession of a firearm, and an additional five years for possession of ammunition.
