Gordhan should clear his name before being appointed into cabinet: Ndlozi

EFF Spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi says Pravin Gordhan must be held accountable for any wrongdoing and should seek recourse to challenge the findings.says former Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan should not be appointed to cabinet until he has cleared his name. President Cyril Ramphosa will announce his national executive later this week.

Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane found Gordhan guilty of improper conduct for the decision he made as Finance Minister to grant former SARS deputy commissioner Ivan Pillay early retirement with full benefits. She has recommended that President Cyril Ramphosa take disciplinary steps against Gordhan.

EFF Spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi says Pravin Gordhan must be held accountable for any wrongdoing and should seek recourse to challenge the findings. He says it’s not a good idea to include him in cabinet when he still has a cloud hanging over his head. “The story ends there and he must not be appointed as a result into the cabinet until he clears his name. He can always be appointed any time but let’s not portray a situation as if Pravin Gordhan is untouchable and cannot be held accountable. We reject that,” says Ndlozi.

Meanwhile, Gordhan’s lawyer Tebogo Malatji has already filed court papers to review the Public Protector’s report.

The noise hurts my ears

Like how Malema & Shivambu cleared their names before being sworn into parliament? Hypocrites!!!

once PG filed papers it's enough bcz the initial rulings falls away which qualifies him to be appointed

As it is applicable to all in SA? He has more to gain by clearing himself than trying to cut corners. Good that he has already applied for leave to review the report in court of law. He must give up his public life till court adjudicate the matter.

now promoting organized crime ?

And EFF

No no no, Ace Magashule is clear: Not guilty until a court of law finds you guilty, mos

Why fighters are shouting when talking about Pravin? You don't have to shout just provide proof and whilst the vbs looters must go to jail as well or kanjani.

How can he clear his name if what he did to Pillay is wrong.Something must done about what he did to Pillay

Let president decide who should be in his cabinet not the external forces.

It is actually not important what the EFF says. The only thing important is the truth. The real truth and not the EFF or the PP‘s spin around “facts”.

Is Gordhan to white for you...

What about Floyd ?

EFF must stop the hatred & witch hunt against Gordhan!!!!! NPA&Hawks have done an investigation against Gordhan & find nothing against him!!!!!! Public protector's findings on Estina diary farm were dismissed by court of law& watch the space,Gordhan findings will be dismiss too!!

Since when dictate EFF to ANC? Do they know wat consistency mean? They themselves cannot sit in parliament with a black cloud hanging over their heads.....VBS

What about VBS looters..have they cleared their names

So is mbalula

A man in his 70s cyring like a baby to be appointed to cabinetAny one who knows what exactly did Pravin achieve wherever he was appointed be it SARS, TREASURY & PUBLIC ENTERPRISE.l want just 2points

But racist murderers are welcome as MPs

This is madness.does the constitution set any requirements for one to be a minister?if Pravin is fit to be MP,then he can be minister.
