The SA Weather service has issued Yellow Level 4 warnings for parts of KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape.

The Service warns of severe thunderstorms over the southern and central parts of KwaZulu Natal on Monday. This could result in damage or loss of infrastructure, settlements, major travel disruptions, and municipal and other essential services. In the Eastern Cape, the Service warns of disruptive rain leading to flooding over the eastern parts of the province on Tuesday.Meanwhile, an intense heatwave is bearing down on South Africa, with scorching temperatures expected to continue until Monday. The South African Weather Service is urging residents across various provinces to prepare for persistently high temperatures.

Certain areas, such as the Lowveld, Limpopo Valley and western bushveld may see temperatures soaring beyond 40°c, creating extremely challenging conditions.This can be done by limiting time spent outdoors and if activities are unavoidable, take frequent breaks and stay hydrated to prevent heat exhaustion.
