The Democratic Alliance in Gauteng denies that it is on a witch-hunt to catch Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi in wrongdoing.
Leader of the DA caucus at the Legislature, Solly Msimanga, says the party would still pursue any allegations of wrongdoing even if it was part of the Government of Provincial Unity . Relying on an affidavit deposed by a former Provincial Legislature secretary alleging that Lesufi failed to separate powers between the legislature and the party.
The former employee who allegedly received a R6 million settlement, claims that Lesufi was present in a meeting intended to discuss with officials who allegedly unduly benefited from overtime and travelling alliances during COVID-19.
