According to CCS, the visits allowed them to understand each of the school's strengths, needs and challenges as they worked on a path forward for the district. The plans for closures and mergers received backlash from CCS families and ultimately, the board decided not to vote on the initial recommendations made by the Superintendent's Community Task Force back in June.
