It was last week named a more "peaceful" and "better" alternative to Manchester Christmas Markets by Which? consumer magazine. And now Chester's annual Christmas Market is back open for festive business.
Visitors can expect the Christmas Markets staples of hot gluhwein, hot sausages and mini Dutch pancakes on the food and drink stalls here. And there's also a plethora of craft and gift stalls for those searching for Christmas gifts. There's also the return of the huge Christmas tree to the Town Hall square - which makes a picturesque central point to the festive event. There is also a Santa's Grotto for kids to visit too.
It is a fairly easy markets to navigate, as the stalls are all in one straight line along a pedestrianised street. With the backrdrop of the Town Hall, it makes for a pretty and festive setting too. We've also had a crunch of the main food and drink prices you're likely to pay to help you budget accordingly.
