Crash in Market Drayton causes delays - driver taken to hospital after 'medical episode' behind the wheel
The Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service received a call at 8.51am reporting the crash. SRFS said the incident involved one vehicle. One occupant was assisted from the vehicle and left in the care of the ambulance service. A West Midlands Ambulance spokesperson said:"We were called to reports of an RTC on Newtown, Drayton Bridge, Market Drayton at 8.35am this morning.
"One ambulance attended the scene and treated the driver of a car, a woman, who had reportedly suffered a medical episode. She was conveyed to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for further checks."It said:"Road blocked and heavy traffic due to crash on Newtown both ways between A529 Phoenix Bank and Dog Kennel Lane.
