These include the Road to VC Investment Programme, in partnership with the Irish Venture Capital Association, which aims to demystify and smooth the path to VC investment for women-led start-ups.

“I then took part in the Starting Strong Programme, which is specifically for women. It consisted of small groups of women under each mentor. The community angle of these groups is great – everyone wants to help and give back to other women, even if they’re in a similar industry,” Keogh said. “I went to Chicago this year with Growing for Growth as part of a group of 12 female entrepreneurs who were keen to break into the US market. It opened so many doors for us, and the mentors there gave us advice on things like tax, hiring and other key considerations.
