Following a failed initial bid process, four leading bridge construction companies have submitted proposals to rebuild the Washington Bridge in Rhode Island. The Department of Transportation is now reviewing applications with a view to selecting two finalists by the bridge's one-year closure anniversary.

Several companies have officially submitted requests to rebuild the Washington Bridge following the Rhode Island Department of Transportation's initial failure to secure any bids. The responding companies include American Bridge - MLJ Joint Venture, Skanska - Aetna Joint Venture, Halmar International LLC, and Walsh Construction Company II, LLC.

These companies, known for their expertise in bridge construction, are now poised to compete for the contract to rebuild the Washington Bridge, which has been closed for over a year
