The Future Fund, with an initial investment of $60.5 billion from the federal government, now holds more than half a billion dollars in shares of weapons manufacturers and war-related companies. Since its inception, the fund has grown to a total of $169.2 billion through investments in global stocks, bonds, property, infrastructure, and financial derivatives.

This has led to accusations of politicisation and ethical concerns surrounding the fund's investments
