SAN DIEGO — The countdown to the holidays has begun, and many visitors have kicked it off at Market and 13th Street in East Village. Several people were packed in the Quartyard for the annual tree lighting and holiday market held by the East Village Association.'We do this event every year to give the community a place to celebrate the holidays and usher them in those holidays into the East Village neighborhood,” says Dominic Li Mandri, District Manager of the East Village Association.
'We're able to even overpay so that can have better farms and better conditions for the workers,' Holley said.
