An increase in supply has meant falling demand for homes, which means rent prices are tumbling in a bid to attract tenants, says expert.

Florida may be heading towards a 'big investor selloff' in its housing market as oversupply and lessening demand result in falling rental incomes, according to one expert.Real estate analyst Nick Gerli, CEO of the property market Reventure App, says that rent cuts are widespread across the Sunshine State following a flurry of apartment complex construction.

Gerli posted a lengthy thread on social media site X, formerly Twitter, on Saturday outlining his assessment of Florida's housing market as a result of the challenging market for investor-landlords. Hundreds of X users subsequently shared the thread, with several replying to Gerli to tell him about their personal experience of the housing sector.
