PETALING JAYA: A total of 7,900 companies have adopted the e-invoice system, involving 87 million issuance overall as of Nov 19, says the Finance Minister.

“This shows a good level reception of e-invoice system implementation among the companies,” he said in a written parliamentary answer on Friday . “The government has provided a grace period of six months for businesses to issue consolidated e-invoices, which involve consolidating monthly transactions.

He added that to assist SMEs in implementing the system without additional costs, the Inland Revenue Board had provided a portal called MyInvois where businesses are allowed to submit the e-invoice to the board for free.
