filed a lawsuit, not against Expedia but the Securitas Security Services , accusing them of recklessly mishandling a security threat that had been reported to them.from hidden cameras in gender-neutral bathrooms showing bathroom usage, exposed genitalia, and more.
“This seems crazy, right? A company like Expedia, a tech company, you're recording people in the bathroom? That's absurd,” attorney Jason Amala told KOMO News. According to court documents, security gave the person who raised suspicions a phone number to call. They blew them off and gave them another number to call.
Marcelo Vargas-Fernandez, a former Expedia employee, is now charged with voyeurism, that case identifying about 60 victims because they were wearing their badges in the confiscated images.
