According to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore, the group added $29.8 million to its 2019 tour total with new reports for 12 shows. In all, the summer trek grossed $40.9 million and sold 486,917 tickets.

Those earnings improve upon the band’s last performance at the same venue, when they grossed $6.4 million on June 30-July 1, 2017 . The second biggest engagement of the tour, a July 5-6 stint at Boulder’s Folsom Field, grossed $6.5 million, up more than 20% from its engagement at the same venue last summer.

The tour featured a fair mix of amphitheaters and stadiums, ranging in capacity from the 13,127 of Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas to 43,779 of the Boston-area Gillette Stadium. In total, the band played six stadium shows and 13 dates in amphitheaters. The final $40 million-plus total makes it Dead & Company’s biggest tour yet, up 16% over 2018’s $35.2 million gross. Having toured consistently since its 2015 debut, the band has grossed $205.5 million and sold 2.18 million tickets across 120 reported shows.
