Ramokgadi Care Foundation launches aftercare school facilities via SABCNewsOnline

The aim of the aftercare is to assist learners during extra classes in science and mathematics.

A non-profit organisation in Wonderkop, near Marikana, North West, the Ramokgadi Care Foundation has launched aftercare school facilities. The aim is to assist learners during extra classes in science and mathematics. This is an effort to improve education in rural schools, where there are staffing and resource shortages.

Rakgatlha High School principal Edward Setena, who is a school beneficiary, is optimistic that with the assistance they have received, learners’ performance will improve. “As the school set have detected that Grade 8 and 9 are not performing well, especially, in Maths, Natural Sciences and Social Sciences. It is also very evident from first term and second term. They have performed very bad these learners …”
