As A-level results loom, experts warn to avoid ‘Mickey Mouse’ university courses that lead to high debt and lower future earnings

at grade C and went straight into work typically earn £29,900 a year aged 29, government figures show.

The courses with the highest salary prospects for both genders were economics, medicine and maths with salaries of around £40,000 for 29-year-olds. Ms Wong, from Hong Kong, said Anglia Ruskin “fraudulently misrepresented” the course in its prospectus. She said it failed to get her a good job.
