Could Commons defeat yet prove to be a benefit to PM?

The pace and gravity of events in Westminster this week is both monumental and dizzying.MPs from across the spectrum are making their own history, by collaborating to sabotage the central part of Downing Street's strategy and change the law themselves.

And the prime minister and Tory leader is reshaping his party - the product of first a threat, then a punishment, to some of its best known names - even ejecting the grandson of Winston Churchill. It was unlikely ever to be sustainable for him to govern as a prime minster intent on keeping the option of leaving the EU without a deal, in the face of a Parliament with a majority set against that.

Do you ever think anyone will ever put UNITED back into the UNITED KINGDON again, or will this once Great country of ours forever agree to disagree on every direction it takes in the future. FFS Fight together, not fight each other

Like kids

'Decisiveness may be perceived by many voters as arrogance or aggression.' You're telling us that today was an act of decisiveness from the PM, that risks being perceived as something else by the public. The boot licking knows know bounds.

Comical Laura.

Best PM ever . BorisJohnson behind you all the way

No he’s finished

Brexit is wrong and should never happen. Had it been right, it would have been implemented longtime ago. It is dragging on for so many years because it is bad for all, that is why. So much doubt. This is a loosing project and they do not even have a business plan for it!

Dissolve

‘Peddle’ faster, you get a better spin! 😐

The Queen of England Can Take the The UK over. And That's She is Doing

This is breathtaking. How can sink any lower? And after yesterday's 'look, a squirrel' fluff piece about the dog. What an appalling failure our national news broadcaster has become. Tragic.

This is a terrible take. He's fucked up big style and looks well out of his depth. He doesn't stand up to scrutiny, although your apparent wish to avoid doing so may prolong his agony. Do your job.

Looking for a ‘clean break’ on several levels.

I'm sorry is this Fox & Friends?

Needs to go for a pint with James Cleverly and they can both see if they can outdo each other for positivity, because clearly that is all this situation requires. Although what you do if your opponents are equally positive, I’m not really sure.

Are you really that bias and thick?

Let's give a shout out to the tennis Power Couple. Elina Svitolina, and Gael. I follow both of them on Twitter.

Its increased and is increasing support for him and those Tories who are prepared to honour their referendum commitments. He needs to stay and act strong and tolerate no dissent till the job is done and delivered & beyond

We will come out in force to vote for Brexit and the Conservative party. So glad the rebels have gone.

YES

BBC is the spin machine for the Tory party. You're a disgrace.

The whips have been removed but so has the majority of - - 1. He may go for a early GE but he has no majority, not even one 1⃣. But then nowadays, it could change - anything is possible 🙆.

You should be ashamed of what you're trying to pass off as journalism.

We need a GE to drain the swap.

Never you didn't heard he said himself that Mr corbyn will go on 17th of October 2 Brussels 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂

No... 🙄 No benefit to the current hierarchy at BBC News either. Which is almost as pleasing....

It must be like the last days in Hitler's bunker for BBC news right now.

Dress it up all you want Auntie, he is finished as PM

Trouble is he has removed his majority to Govern, in other words no ability to pass anything as the Opposition are now in the majority and should form the Government.

Nope

This is not news BBC News (UK), it is nothing but disgraceful johnsonite propaganda. Not fit for the purpose.

If there was a motion of no confidence, it would certainly harm him. I think its what he and Cummings are now absolutely terrified of. They'll regret removing the whip.

Definitely

What a surprise , spinning for the ToryGovernment

I mean yes, going from a majority of 1 to -43 in one day is the textbook definition of success!

Spin master.
