Cape Town dams recover, residents urged to save water The City of Cape Town says the city’s dam levels have increased by 0.5% over the past week. The average dam level of dams supplying the City are currently sitting at 82.3%.

Winter rains have improved Cape Town's water situation, but residents are still encouraged to preserve water.have increased by 0.5% over the past week. The average dam level of dams supplying the City are currently sitting at 82.3%.

The City also says collective water consumption for the past week has gone up to 587 million litres per day. This is a slight increase but it remains within the targeted daily allocation of 650 million litres per day.
