The Federal Government is to finalise work on the Motion Picture Council of Nigeria Bill in order to create proper regulatory environment for the sub-sector of the creative industry.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed disclosed this in Lagos at the opening of the 2019 Africa International Film Festival.

He also disclosed that the government would establish the Endowment Fund for the Arts to create a legal framework for the financing of the creative industry. “This is quite delightful, as women most often succeed when they take charge, and examples are there for all to see, particularly in the creative industry.
