As Netflix internationalizes its service, it will increasingly need to demonstrate how its strategy is manifesting in region-specific sub growth:

Here's how Netflix subscribers break down by region, how fast each region is growing, and how much Netflix currently makes from each subscriber per region, on average, as of Q3 2019:

Europe, Middle East, and Africa : 47.4 million subscribers — up 40% YoY, down from 46% growth in the prior-year period. ARPU in the region is $10.26 per sub per month, down 3% YoY. Asia-Pacific : 14.5 million subscribers — up 53% YoY, down from 62% growth in the prior-year period. ARPU in the region is $9.31 per sub per month, down 1% YoY

That trend has been evident for several years: International subscriber additions have consecutively accounted for the majority of Netflix quarterly net sub adds since Q1 2015. Since then, Netflix's international markets have collectively contributed at least two-thirds of quarterly subscriber additions — and often even more. And in recent quarters, international has proven especially vital: International markets accounted for 100% of Netflix sub adds in Q2 2019, and 93% in Q3 2019.

New Netflix data shows revenue per subscriber, tough decision on ads - Business InsiderNetflix generates the most revenue per average monthly paying subscriber in the US and Canada, where it is most established and growth is slowing. I'm seeing less and less shows i like on Netflix. Too many cancelations or other issues like their Marvel relationship. Maybe 3 shows max that I'll watch. Most movies are poorly made and it shows. Used to be worth it; not so much these days. Pretty much same on others.
