Former Uber CEO Travis Kalanick to resign from Uber board, effectively severing ties with the company he co-founded.

FILE - In this Feb. 26, 2017, file photo, Uber CEO Travis Kalanick arrives at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Beverly Hills, Calif. Former Uber CEO Kalanick will resign from the company's board next week, effectively severing ties with the company he co-founded a decade ago.

Uber turbocharged the gig economy and since 2010 has logged 15 billion trips. Kalanick was ousted as CEO in the summer of 2017 with the company mired in numerous lawsuits. “Uber has been a part of my life for the past 10 years. At the close of the decade, and with the company now public, it seems like the right moment for me to focus on my current business and philanthropic pursuits,” Kalanick said in a prepared statement Tuesday. “I’m proud of all that Uber has achieved, and I will continue to cheer for its future from the sidelines.”

A former Uber engineer, Susan Fowler, discloses sexual harassment and sexism claims in a blog post about her year at Uber. Fowler says her boss propositioned her and higher-ups ignored her complaints. Kalanick calls Fowler’s accusations “abhorrent” and hires former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder to investigate.

Ponzi walks away from scheme with billions. Leaves investors on the hook.

In other words, he took the money and split before the company tanks it out.

In the end even Van Halen was out of Van Halen 🤔

It’s sad. So many great titans of the tech world were forced out. Jerry Yang, Steve Jobs, now Kalanick. It’s crazy how you can be forced out of something you started...

Wow. Made all that money without uber turning a profit? How is this possible? It's like a startup pongee scheme. There's a special place in hell for people like travisk

Why does he look like a 15 year old trapped in 40 year old body 😂

What if Ted Cruz and Mario Lopez had a baby?

Interesting that he s leaving just about tax time

He cashed out $2.5 billion! 💰 Think of the Uber drivers who cash out daily, just to survive. 🙁

after cashing out millions and leaving behind an awful company. congrats

Don't feel bad Uber Travis, Twitter jack is being forced out as we speak too. 😙

And ? Many people have left a company they have founded or co-founded !

Looks like he just had enough of where Uber was going.

What happens to his jam pad ?

Is this before some type of indictment?

SAD

After he cashing out his shares of the company. He will be laughing all the way to the bank. 😉😂

Was it all the rape accusations? 😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒

Rick Astley resigned from Uber!? 🤯

The big question: How does he get home-by Lyft?

I use Lyft and couldn't be happier about it. Uber is a really shitty company with an even worse culture.

Why is it the liberal media all run the same articles only a few mins apart?
