KUALA Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) will relocate the 15 Sentul wet market traders whose stalls were razed in a fire on New Year's Eve to the parking lot behind the market.

Kuala Lumpur Mayor Datuk Nor Hisham Ahmad Dahlan said the traders will have temporary stalls prepared for them over the next five days.

"As a temporary safety measure, the traders will move to the vacant area near to the market for eight to 12 months as a new market will be built to replace the existing market," he said. Speaking about the estimated losses, Nor Hisham said that the forensic results from the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department investigation would be ready in three days time.
