ICYMI: Jennifer Lopez’s production company sued by stripper who inspired 'Hustlers' film

Cape Town - Jennifer Lopez is facing backlash surrounding her role in the Golden Globes-nominated filmThe 50-year-old actress stars as Ramona, a stripper who runs a side hustle drugging and scamming wealthy Wall Street bankers.The film is based on a 2015 New York Magazine , which details the real-life events of Samantha’s time as a stripper at Score's Gentlemen's Club in New York.

According to court documents, Jennifer’s production company, Nuyorican Productions, STX Entertainment, Gloria Sanchez Productions and Pole Sisters LLC is being sued $40 million . Samantha claims the film producers approached her before production to get her to sign a consent waiver form but she refused to give her consent or waive her privacy rights,
