Sky News contributor John Ruddick says there should be a formal nationwide merger between the Liberals and Nationals.
“In similar countries to Australia like the United States, Britain, Canada and New Zealand there is one right of centre party and there is no distinction between urban conservatives and rural conservatives,” Mr Ruddick told Sky News. “I want our friends in the National Party to be part of the A team and not the B team,” he said. JohnRuddick2 God no. It would be electoral suicide.
JohnRuddick2 But the Nats ARE the B team. How many votes Australia wide do the Nats think Barnaby Joyce commands? O Mac Cormack? Be honest. If we had proportional representation nation wide they’d never make it over the state border.
JohnRuddick2 Why we would not.want Joyce and co in the Liberal party.
JohnRuddick2 They can call themselves.... Fossil Fuels Party Of Australia auspol
JohnRuddick2 No, liberal and national parties should go there separate ways.
JohnRuddick2 I think the Nationals should run away from the sinking ship
JohnRuddick2 I agree. Get CampbellNewman and Lawrence springborg to help out.
JohnRuddick2 John Ruddick blocked me for posting articles that climatechange is real and calling out his bot farm. He's only followed by bots and blocks anyone else.
JohnRuddick2 The Liberal Party should be de registered.
JohnRuddick2 I'm gunna need a new meme
JohnRuddick2 That’d be terrible for the Nationals and would open up more seats to being picked off by independents & minor parties.
JohnRuddick2 Who has the voice for the country though, every time the liberals will win a vote because of numbers.
JohnRuddick2 Then all the corruption would be in one grotty party. Fewer salaries & superannuations to pay. 👏👏
JohnRuddick2 Because it worked so well in Queensland?
