We should celebrate people having the good sense to try and slow the spread of this worldwide.

What was the impact of the yellow vests?

Let’s have a strike then.

“The Yellow Vest” movement’s gonna die hard...

To be fair, France has been on strike for over a year now... coronavirus or not, tourism was bound to go down with all the hostile environment...

KeiserReport ...or maybe they don't want to be caught up in all the violence of the year long protests against Macron!

KeiserReport Ya because all the so called tourists claim asylum

KeiserReport They’ve seen a 30-40% reduction because France currently just sucks.

Oh the humanity.....the greed will kill us all

Its a flu chill out

Perhaps the mass transit strikes in Paris had something to do with it as well

That’s good news ! Mass tourism is the worst problem in decades 🥵😷

They have had ongoing protests for over a year.

GrantMBeasley You couldn't go to France during this timeframe without being affected by these protests, but yeah probably Corona 😉

30-40% drop is huge....tourism is big business in many countries, especially the likes of Spain and Greece...hopefully the virus hasn't a taste for tapas.

Oh shit. This means that the rest of the eu is fucked bc france needs money, as they themselves are allergic to pay up.

man-made virus accidentally or intentionally placed among civilians ... only way you can have aids and ebola planted on a regular flu virus is inside a lab, does not happen in nature .. no way God would allow such an inhuman and evil thing in nature ..

Yellow vests!!

biancoresearch Yellow vests scared them off

not only because of the virus - the violence from police/government to the protestants is an unacceptable behavior ! it's a shame to see such in europe and for sure that is the main reason.

ttmygh I thought brexit was the problem. I can’t keep up with the punditry nonsense.

Not only Tourists from China regarding the virus but others as well with rising populism and hate towards others! 'Mediterranean is not safe for pleasure due to illiberal economic behavioral mood' While special resorts are different from walking in a city with public transport!

It’s not only less tourism. Business travel and conferences are also hit.

And yet I am still told the coronavirus will have a minimal impact on the economy.

Notre-Dame burning down probably doesn’t help tourism either.

i feel so sorry for them i love frogs

Silver_Watchdog Hey I'm actually going there in a few months. Won't be in the cities though.

Good, let's pray for 100%

Come to Turkey, France is garbage and too expensive an there is a Micron over there🤣

Are you sure the decline in tourism isn't from the homeless epidemic from mass immigration overwhelming their system or the anti-Macron protests?

No that’s probably due to France being an overrated dump of tourist attractions. Every major tourist attraction in France is far too expensive and consists of congestion and being hassled by street sellers and scammers.

kuku27 Naturally

With Climate Change gaining speed, tourism should be ended anyways.
