KUALA LUMPUR: Social distancing practices are still not satisfactory at the Kuala Lumpur wholesale market, says Federal Territories Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa.

"I made an impromptu visit to the market and found that a lot of people still do not adhere to the movement control order ."Lorries are also parked very near to each other for loading and unloading.

"The Health Ministry will check on the workers on Sunday and a disinfecting booth will be set up for the workers," he said during a live press conference on Facebook Saturday .Meanwhile, Annuar added that the RM500 one-off contribution to petty traders had been banked into 5,810 accounts. "There are 15,365 licensed operators who are eligible for the contribution but only 6,398 had applied. 227 applicants were rejected and we are looking into why these applications were not successful," he said.
