The upgrade was the result of the public’s concern on the use of pens that might be contaminated.

The Ministry of Health encourages more Malaysians to download the MySejahtera app to get the latest information and updates regarding Covid-19. — Bernamaapplication will utilise Quick Response codes beginning June 1 to facilitate self-registration by the public before entering business and food premises.

"For MySejahtera we will use QR codes beginning June 1, so, there is no need to use pen to write your name. We will upgrade the application from time to time. On a related matter, Dr Noor Hisham said thus far, 752,711 individuals have downloaded the application. In another development, Dr Noor Hisham said MOH and other ministries as well as non-governmental organisations should organise discussions to look for long-term solutions against the infectious disease.
