So what he's tried to do instead is to be open to and to read and to respond to entrepreneurs who email him cold, without any kind of introduction or referral. He and his team don't respond to every message that comes in, but they try, he said.
"I don't understand why as an industry we've been hung up on a really specific profile," Hudson said.
