IPOH: Some night market traders here are contemplating whether to resume business during the recovery movement control order (MCO) period.

Ipoh City Small Traders and Hawkers Association secretary Joseph Tan said the strict standard operating procedure does not allow those selling clothes, shoes and food items involving heavy cooking to trade.“With the limited numbers of stalls allowed, only half can trade – and from that amount, some 70 stalls sell the items that are not allowed, ” said Tan.

He said this when speaking to reporters after a dialogue session with councillors Tony Khoo and Albert Ho on Wednesday . “We need to come with nearly RM800 every week and the market runs eight times in a month, so it comes up to RM4,000.
