"The very fundamental basis of scrum is it's designed to leverage people who need to get stuff done, particularly people who are disadvantaged," he said. "One of the things that scrum does is define success upfront, ruthlessly prioritize what you're going to do, try something, and get rapid feedback," said CEO JJ Sutherland. "We're not going to check on whether you can do that in six months or a year. We're going to check next week.

"It's only with persistence that you can get out of that normal cycle of little bit of success, a lot of failure, and then come up the curve to a long-term, successful approach," he said.
