ICYMI: Senator Durbin's request to investigate Mastercard and Visa could kick off a wave of card fee reform as the pandemic surges digital payments

The pandemic has digital payment usage, including debit transactions, which rose as customers moved away from cash. This alone has already raised costs for merchants, which are seeing a higher percentage of transactions made via card.
