Starbucks and Dunkin' are starting Pumpkin Spice season earlier than ever, as customers grow desperate for 2020 to end

Dunkin' is launching its fall menu — including its Pumpkin Spice Latte — on August 19, earlier than ever before.

Dunkin's head of marketing said that the chain is bringing back the Pumpkin Spice Latte early because it is one thing customers can count on with "so much uncertainty" in 2020. Pumpkin Spice Cheerios and Chobani yogurt hit grocery shelves in early August. Sam Adams launched its fall beers — Jack-O Pumpkin Ale, OctoberFest and the Sweater Weather Variety Pack — on August 10. Dunkin' announced on Wednesday that it is debuting its fall menu on August 19, earlier than ever before.

Prior to 2018, the Pumpkin Spice Latte officially launched on the Tuesday after Labor Day every year, while offering an early launch for PSL super-fans. In 2018 and 2019, the chain launched the PSL on the Tuesday before Labor Day.

and when I went grocery shopping today, saw that Halloween candy is on the shelves, more than two months in advance.

If we reduce our daily cycle to 18 hours, we can save %25 from the rest of 2020.

Yas!! It is never too early for Pspice!

Delicious

For those who have been quarantined in the past 6 months, festive vibes is desperately needed to balance out depression; not to mention those who have risked their lives to save more lives at the medical frontlines. 💪🏼🙏✊🏻🙌🏾

Woo hoo! I love the pumpkin spiced latte.

The season of watching pumpkin spice being used in everything people make is starting early.

I’m desperate, but not THAT desperate.

I am kind of waiting for Starbucks over priced, burned, full of sugar coffee to end ? But people keep in debt keep buying $5 to $8 cups of coffee - amazing ?

Omg pumpkin spice latte is definitely going to cheer me up after losing my job!

Ewwwwwwww! The pain is real !

What a terrible terrible idea. I saw chrysanthemums on the street today too. I understand the rush to get to the November elections, but this just sucks. Take time to smell the no-pumpkin-spice yet. It's f'ing summertime.
