Uber is going to court this week to fight a ban preventing it from operating in one of its biggest international markets, London

Uber has made "a number of positive changes and improvements to its culture, leadership and systems" since its license was stripped, TfL said in aIn April, Uber announced a new system whereby drivers take a selfie before picking up a passenger, and have their identity verified via facial recognition.

Jamie Heywood, Uber's regional general manager of northern and eastern Europe, said in a statement that the company has "worked hard to address TfL's concerns over the last few months, rolled out real-time ID checks for drivers, and are committed to keeping people moving safely around the city." Here’s my take on Uber after working for them it’s basically 🖕 does nothing to help drivers in real time with app issues, intentionally time-gates drivers to keep more drivers on the road longer up to 3hrs no jobs, customer service is offshore with no accountability. Arseholes!

Bullshit. Here in Paris, drivers still rent their accounts and they just need to be be with the owner to validate the account with a selfie. No more verification
