Prime Minister ScottMorrisonMP says he understands businesses need a reliable energy grid in the wake of the coronavirus, highlighting the importance of a dispatchable power supply over energy sources that rely on the weather.

|Prime Minister Scott Morrison says he understands businesses need a reliable energy grid in the wake of the coronavirus, highlighting the importance of a dispatchable power supply over energy sources that rely on the weather. “With a more reliable grid, with dispatchable power that isn’t subject to the weather, then that, of course, creates greater stability and businesses need stability to operate,” he said.

The Prime Minister said “having a more efficient cost base for all Australian businesses is how you create jobs,” and he flagged energy as a key resource which he was seeking to make more cost-effective. “We have to have ways of getting that down at a sustainable and consistent level”.
