Conservative MP George Freeman received cash from PPE firm founded by former government appointee

The UK government's anti-corruption watchdog has found that a former minister in Boris Johnson and David Cameron's governments broke the ministerial code by failing to declare his position with a PPE firm founded by a former government appointee.

Under UK government rules designed to prevent corruption, former members of the government must obtain guidance from the Advisory Committee on Business Appointments before accepting paid work for two years after leaving office. The company, which he described as "a group of clinicians and medical technology specialists working on the problem of cross-contamination during the COVID-19 Pandemic," was founded by a former government appointee, who Freeman had worked alongside while a minister in David Cameron's government.

In correspondence with ACOBA, Freeman acknowledged that he was first contacted by Aerosol Shield founder Matt Campbell-Hill for help securing approval from the government in April. Freeman told ACOBA that following this intervention, Campbell-Hill had in May asked Freeman to help the company in a paid position to raise long-term funding for research and development of the Aerosol tent, and to join as Chairman.

Take it off him in tax. Simple as that

This is the South African way of doing business. In fact current employees of the government also do business with the government even though it's against the rules.
